

You can do this by clicking on the direction button, then dragging the arrow in the direction you’d like to make your copies.


From there, you’re going to want to set a couple different things – first – the direction in which you make the copy. Simply activate the rectangular pattern tool, then select the object you’d like to copy. Now, let’s say we want to create several copies of this sketch – we can use this tool in order to create a number of copies in a straight line along this object. Let’s start by drawing a sketch of a circle on top of this rectangular object.
